The Hoot
'The hoot' lodge 29, is a spacious log cabin on the rugged eastern banks of Loch Lomond. Well positioned in the Rowardennan private lodge estate, there are beautiful views from the lodge, in its waterfront location, across Loch Lomond and of the surrounding mountains. Rowardennan is at the mid point of Loch Lomond and is nestled at the foot of Ben Lomond.
Set in the heart of the Loch Lomond and Trossach's National Park in Scotland this is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. Within only an hour of Glasgow city centre you might think that you were in another world. The rural setting of Rowardennan is at the end of the road completely free of traffic noise and approximately 15 minutes drive from Balmaha and 25 minutes from Drymen.
Twenty four miles long, Loch Lomond and it's islands are one of Scotland's must see attractions; stunningly beautiful all year round.
The lodge has four bedrooms: master en suite, double, twin and bunk room. There is a spacious open plan kitchen / dining / living room with patio doors that open to the large gated decking area with spectacular views looking out over Loch Lomond.
Just in front of the lodge is a jetty and an attractive shallow sandy beach which the kids all love. The beach has a really gradual slope so is ideal for paddling.
If you have your own boat, there are facilities to launch and moor it. Contact the Rowardennan Hotel for further details - www.rowardennanhotel.co.uk/greatoutdoors.html
There are many walks and hikes close by, with Ben Lomond and the West Highland Way right on the door step. Lots of water based activities from wake boarding to loch cruises which can be arranged near by. The area is ideal for those who enjoy peace, tranquillity and the outdoors.
Whatever the time of the year 'the hoot' offers you a comfortable relaxing stay in a beautiful location.
